LONDON 2012 + FINE ART FEATURESHello everyone!!
How are you doing there?? I am so excited!! On Saturday the 30th I am going to fly to LONDON!!! Oh yeah, I am already looking forward to it. I think I am going to be there for a month or two, I've always dreamt to do this experience and I am totally eager to get there. As on Saturday the 30th there will be also the amazing DeviantMeet in London I do really hope I will be able to join all those who are going to take part to the event, if so I am double excited and I can't wait to get to know all of you guys ^^

dA Images being sold on eBay - UPDATE URGENTBusy Bee

So I was contacted by the eBay user, who in fact IS a deviantArt user. You can all check this Journal comments to see what she wrote to me.
Apparently she claims that she's an art dealer and she buys our prints here on dA to later re-sell them as she pleases. In her opinion, she's the one doing us a favor by advertising us and supporting us so much (by profiting with our art without any consent or knowledge to the artist).
You should also read her Journal because it's quite interesting. I honestly can say that I'm shocked for reading that someone comes here, buys a print from us and then re-sells it for higher prices, making profit without a single word to the artist. In her Journal I got the feeling that, we should be the ones thanking her for doing this... she even say that she buys the prints but then those prints are still going under consideration for promotion..... Promotion???? I didn't know that "artist promotion" is synonym for pe

You can't polish a turdThe kind of photography I'm into (landscape) is a problematic one. The obvious issue with it is that we are, of course, at the mercy of the weather and (assuming we're not taking star trails) we can only shoot during the hours of daylight. And even then, we only get the best light at the start and end of the day when the sun is at such an angle as to soften the edges of a scene and cast golden hues on it. Moreover we often have to travel a bloody long way to get to a particular location and we inevitably get up in the dark and return in the dark.
All of this makes it even more painful for us when we get home, put the SD card in the laptop, import everything into Lightroom and discover that the photos we took were, for whatever reason, shite.
Now there are a couple of responses to this scenario. Firstly, we can sigh heavily, format the SD card, put it back in the camera and hope to do better next time. Secondly, we can place our faith in Photoshop or Photomatix or the hidden data nestli
